Hire our team for live bee removal from walls, roofs, attics, chimneys, trees and bees nests, with solutions for recurring bee problems. Bee removal can be dangerous and sometimes difficult; a few bees buzzing around the exterior or inside the house is usually a sign of a beehive. An established beehive consists of many thousands of bees with honeycombs.

Sometimes an exterminator is used to exterminate the bees, but the honeycomb is left in the wall. We will never exterminate and will remove and relocate the hive. If the bee colony has just appeared and is congregating outdoors, it is called a swarm. An average swarm maybe 5,000 - 20,000 bees and the size of a football or larger.

In case of a Swarm ( see photos to the right ) on a shrub or tree, best to leave it alone and call Bee Rescue Foundation immediately. There are scout bees looking for a cavity with an opening the size of a dime. The scout bees (the bees hovering around the outside of the ball of bees) are signaling their next move. That move could be YOUR attic, your boat, your camper your dryer vent, or your garage. Once they are inside, it makes it more difficult to remove the bees and the cost of removal goes up.

Trap-Out

Trap out, a process that allows the bees to leave the hive thru a mesh cone. They are unable to get back in. Meanwhile a baited box is placed next to the entrance of the original hole for the hive. Bait and easy access the bee keeper basically tricks the bees to use the new box. In approximately 21 days the queen will emerge and enter the baited box. The bee keeper after monitoring the process for the duration removes the hive with the queen and seals the hole.

This process allows for the bee eggs to hatch. Larva grow into bees and leave. All the honey nectar and pollen is consumed. When complete all that is left behind is wax. Killing them is an option .....the smell of dead bees will make u want to move.

Eliminating bees without removing the hive from a structure is often not recommended, especially if the hive has been in the structure for more than 6 months. Take a look at the list below. It is a quick breakdown of some of the problems that can ensue when you ignore and/or exterminate the bees without removing the hive.

  1. Elimination without removal of the hive will most likely not solve the bee problem. Killing the bees only solves the problem temporarily. Because bees are attracted to the pheromones and the hive material, new swarms will often re-infest the area over and over again.
  2. Hives that are not removed will often decay and cause foul odors to emanate from the wall and/or roof.
  3. Rodents and/or ants will often infest homes that have a neglected hive.
  4. Honey can cause damage if the hive melts during the hotter times of the year. You see if the hive is alive, the fanning of the bee's wings will keep the temperature cooler. Once the bees die, the hive heats up and the wax can melt and the honey can run into the drywall and down into the baseboards.
